Sorrento Productions is a feature film & television production company based in Santa Monica, CA. The company, first established in 2005, seeks to develop, produce and finance feature films of all genres for the global market. Sorrento has produced several feature films that have premiered in competition at the Sundance Film Festival, including THE OTHER DREAM TEAM (nominated for the PGA Documentary of the Year Award & distributed by Lionsgate and Disney Int’l). Sorrento Productions produced and raised financing for ASHES IN THE SNOW, the film adaptation of the N.Y. Times best-selling novel “Between Shades of Gray” by Ruta Sepetys. The film is #1 all-time box office grossing film in the history of Lithuania, the country where the production took place. ASHES IN THE SNOW is being distributed in the United States by Vertical Entertainment and foreign sales are being handled by Radiant Films.

 

Sorrento's most recent film production is the 2022 feature documentary THUG ROSE: MIXED MARTIAL ARTIST which will be premiering at the Austin Film Festival and and is being distributed by UFC Originals: “Thug Rose" follows the inspiring journey of professional MMA fighter & two time world champion Rose Namajunas. After experiencing an abusive childhood, she has become an advocate for mental wellness, an avid environmentalist and a concert level pianist all while gaining international acclaim as one of the fiercest mixed martial arts competitors in the world. The film documents her circuitous path to success and spotlights Namajunas’ rare combination of ferocity, artistry, and vulnerability.
